Chapter #8 Part 3: Mumaris Plus and Professional Re-Registration

Assalamu`alaikum and greetings to all…

In order to continue working in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I have to apply for professional re-registration every 2 years. As stated in Mumaris Plus website, this is to ensure the continuity of your professional registration among registered health practitioners at SCFHS (Saudi Commission For Health Specialties).

How to sign up for Mumaris Plus? I cannot explained properly here as one of my Saudi colleague help me to create the account back in year 2018. I solely depend on her because the process was in Arabic language. Now, the website have improved so much and more user friendly. Login at https://portal.scfhs.org.sa

How to apply for professional re-registration? Firstly, login to Mumaris Plus and select My Services. The website will showed our account status – Profile completed, Classified, Classified & Registered. Scroll down and select Professional Re-Registration Service. Click “Apply Now”. The page will asked us to review our personal details. Here, it is mandatory to put attachment of our passport size photo. The size must less than 2MB. After that, they will asked details regarding our home nursing license and two attachments. I upload my latest Retention of Name (RON) letter and Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia certificate in pdf format. Next, review your work experience details and I put my previous and current hospital information with attachments – Hospital name, position, date starting and end/current, jobs description. I upload my latest Certificate of Employment and Dataflow result in pdf format. Lastly, make online payment of SAR160.

We will received an email notification that our application has been received and under review. If there is missing document, they will send another email and asked us to complete the requirements and submit the application again within 30 days from the return date. Otherwise, our application will be cancelled.

“Congratulations! Your application for Professional Re-Registration has been issued”. This is the final result and we can download the certificate. Because of COVID-19, SCFHS has extend the validity of Saudi Council card to August 2020 and after renewal the expiry is on August 2022.

Be reminded that 20 CPD hours is needed for the re-registration of nursing technician.
